  • Welcome Address by the National President of ASSOCIATION OF CHRISTIAN THEOLOGIANS

    Professor Augustus Olakunle Macaulay

    Dear Theological Community in Nigeria,

It is very interesting to be a part of theological community in Nigeria.

Many people have requested this information of theological body which includes what theology is and how to practice it. Many also demand for names and addresses of approved and accredited bible and Theological Colleges and Universities in Nigeria.

We are concerned about the colleges from all denominations and non-denominational groups that strive to serve God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit.

“So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another” Romans 12:12.

This profession deserves a respectable position in the community of professions in the world. After years of existence of ACTS as a regulatory body, we are writing a thrilling new chapter to the history of theological education and practice in Nigeria.

The presentation of theological education in Nigeria is more than a collection of names and faces, it represents a community of theological experts that is bringing back credibility, dignity and respectability to a profession that deserves more than what it is getting for its contribution to national and human development.

One of the aims of ACTS is to encourage corporate members to have students cross-registration, library access and acquisitions, interchange among faculty members in various disciplines of theological education and communications between the colleges.

We provide details of courses and facilities provided by recognized Bible and Theological Colleges in Nigeria. Courses are available from one year to seven years depending on the course you decide to go into. There is something for everyone. There is a course for you whether you want to have proper understanding of the WORD of God, lead people of God or become a Christian or theological professional.

Courses in anger management, pastoral care, Christian Counselling and dealing with difficult people are specially designed for people with HELP ministry or parents of growing children.

Theological and Christian education is a life-long training, therefore we do not encourage CRASH-COURSES. All courses are specially designed by theological and curriculum experts and approved by ACTS to bring the desired goals of the course.

Some of the member-colleges have well-stocked theological bookstores. Their libraries are stocked with relevant books for the courses offered. You can attend one of the approved colleges to earn accredited qualification.

ACTS is not a college and it does not offer degrees. Application for enrolment should be made direct to the member-college of applicant’s choice.

Thank god for you reading this information concerning us.
